Its been a while since I have wanted this particular foundation. A year to be exact.
I just couldn’t justify the idea of wanting such an expensive foundation. This foundation costs CDN $57.00/ US$45.00.
I got this foundation as a Christmas gift in a lighter shade, however I had to exchange it for the shade Barcelona which is described as a “deeper medium with golden peachy undertones”. If you use L’oreal True Match in N5, this will be a good match for you.
In the Before picture you can see I have some scarring on my cheek area, due to hormonal acne, and discolouration around my mouth. In the After picture I have a light amount of the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation with a second light layer on some trouble spots.
The foundation is a great consistency with a medium coverage. It is definitely buildable to a full coverage without looking cakey, due to its brightening properties, or feeling heavy and mask-like.
When I first used this foundation I powdered my under eye area and T-zone with Rimmel’s Stay Matte Powder in Translucent. I realized after about 5-6 hours I had to powder around my mouth and nose; but to be fair that’s where I get the most oiliest. After a little over 10 hours the foundation still photographed well, however, my face was a little shiny and in person you could see that the foundation was wearing off around the same areas I had to powder at the half-way mark. The rest of the face was still covered well, which is a good sign for the foundation not wearing off in patches.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this foundation to those with any skin-type. Although, make sure to set your foundation thoroughly if you have combination/oily skin.
Thanks for stopping by.
